1. Agreeing to these terms
- You agree to these terms by checking the box when you set up BLOM or join an organization in it. If you don't agree, don't use BLOM.
- You must be at least 18 and able to make a contract.
- If you use BLOM for an organization, such as a company, you agree for it too, and you confirm you're allowed to. “You” then means both you and the organization.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. BLOM is in beta
BLOM is an early beta. It's free, it's still being built, and it may change or stop at any time. Don't make it the only place you keep anything important. During the beta:
- Backups are daily. If something goes badly wrong, up to a day of changes could be lost. Backup copies are kept for about 7 days, with the provider that runs our database.
- After a restore, everyone signs in again. If we restore from a backup, we end every sign-in and every agent credential, because a backup can't tell which ones you'd already turned off. You'd sign in again and give your agents new credentials.
- Nothing alerts us automatically. If BLOM goes down, we may not know until someone tells us.
- Your GitHub or Google account is your key. BLOM has no second factor of its own yet, so turn on two-factor sign-in for the GitHub or Google account you use. BLOM asks you to sign in again before sensitive steps, such as giving an agent a credential.
- Agent credentials are long-lived secrets. A credential you give an AI agent works until you revoke it. Keep it private, and revoke it in BLOM if you think it leaked.
- We don't delete records during the beta. Our Privacy Policy says what we keep.
- Maintenance. We may take BLOM down for maintenance, and we'll try to say so ahead of time.
We may limit, suspend, or end the beta, or any part of BLOM, at any time. We'll try to tell you first.
3. Your account and your organization
- Give accurate information, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- An organization's Administrators decide who belongs to it, what each member may do, and which agents it registers. What members put into an organization belongs to the organization, and its Administrators can see it.
- You're responsible for what happens under your sign-in, and for each agent you're the accountable owner of.
4. AI agents and connected tools
- You choose, connect, and supervise your agents, such as Claude Code or Codex. You decide what each may read and do in BLOM, and you're responsible for what they do with the credentials you give them.
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe. Check work before you rely on it, release it, or deploy it.
- BLOM records claims, results, and approvals. It doesn't check that what they say is true. A “passed” or “approved” in BLOM isn't a guarantee of anything.
- AI tools and other services you connect run under your own accounts and their own terms, and you pay their costs. We don't sell or guarantee them, and we can't delete what you've already sent them.
5. Using BLOM fairly
Don't:
- break the law, or misuse anyone's rights, privacy, or confidential information;
- reach another organization's records or anyone's account without permission, or get around BLOM's sign-in, permissions, limits, or approvals;
- send malware, attack or overload BLOM, or test its security without our written permission;
- fake approvals, identities, times, test results, evidence, or records to mislead anyone;
- put health records, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or other especially sensitive information into BLOM;
- use BLOM where its failure could cause death, injury, or serious physical harm.

6. Your content
- You and your organization keep your rights in what you put into BLOM, such as specs, tasks, code references, and records (“your content”).
- You let us host, copy, process, and show your content only to run BLOM for you, keep it secure, and meet the law.
- We don't sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We may use counts and other statistics that identify no one, and reveal nothing confidential about you, to run and improve BLOM.
- You confirm you have the right to put your content into BLOM.
7. Our property, and no copying BLOM
- BLOM's software, designs, templates, and documents belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you only the right to use BLOM during the beta, as they allow.
- Don't use BLOM, or anything about it that isn't public, to build, train, or help build a product or feature that copies or competes with BLOM. That includes giving it to an AI model or agent, a contractor, or anyone else for that purpose.
- Don't copy, scrape, or reverse engineer BLOM, or try to get its source code, except where the law lets you whatever these terms say.
- This doesn't stop you from building your own products independently, using your own content, or doing anything the law protects, such as writing honest reviews or reporting to the authorities.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
8. Price
BLOM is free during the beta. If we start charging, we'll tell you in advance, and you won't be charged unless you agree.
9. Ending
- You can stop using BLOM at any time.
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts BLOM or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.
- If the beta or BLOM ends, we'll try to tell you ahead of time, so you can copy what you need.
- Sections 6, 7, and 10 to 15 continue after your access ends.
10. No warranties
BLOM is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We don't promise that BLOM will be available, secure, or free of errors, or that its records will be complete or meet any auditor's, regulator's, or customer's requirements.
11. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill;
- our total liability for all claims about BLOM or these terms is no more than the greater of US $100 and what you paid us for BLOM in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
12. Claims caused by your use
As far as the law allows, if someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your use of BLOM, or your breaking these terms, you'll defend us and pay the resulting costs, including reasonable lawyers' fees. This doesn't apply to the extent the claim comes from our own breach or wrongdoing.
13. Disputes
- Pennsylvania law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- Before going to court, tell us about the dispute at service@boundarylayerlabs.com, and we'll both try in good faith to settle it for 30 days.
- Any lawsuit goes to the state courts in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, or to the federal court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and we both agree to those courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top show which version you're reading. If a change matters, we'll tell you in BLOM and ask you to agree again; if you don't agree, stop using BLOM. A change doesn't apply to a dispute that began before it.
15. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about BLOM.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term, we haven't given it up.
- You may not transfer these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization.
- We may send you notices in BLOM or by email. Send notices to us at service@boundarylayerlabs.com.
